World Health Day Celebrated at Guru Nanak Dev University College, Phillaur

On April 7, 2026, the NSS Unit of Guru Nanak Dev University College, Phillaur celebrated

World Health Day under the esteemed leadership of Principal Dr. Rajwinder Kaur Hundal.

Upholding Indian traditions, the event commenced with a devotional hymn. Thereafter,

NSS Nodal Officer Professor Sonia commenced with an introductory note highlighting the

significance of World Health Day which is observed annually on April 7 under the guidance

of the World Health Organization. The 2026 theme for World Health Day, “Together for

health, Stand with science” spotlights both scientific achievements and the multilateral

cooperation needed to turn evidence into action through a strong focus on the One Health

approach.
