Grand Bicycle Awareness Program and Rally Organized in Barwani on World Bicycle Day

Under the Government of India's Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports initiative 'Mera Youth Bharat' (MY Bharat), a grand bicycle awareness program and rally were organized today in Barwani district on the occasion of World Bicycle Day. Celebrated annually on June 3rd, the primary objective of World Bicycle Day is to promote cycling among the general public by linking it with health, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.

​The entire event was successfully conducted under the guidance and efficient leadership of Barwani's District Youth Officer, Deepak Yadav, in which 25 enthusiastic young participants took part to spread the message of health and environmental awareness.

​Igniting a Spark for Health and the Environment

​During the program, District Youth Officer Deepak Yadav inspired the youth, volunteers, and local citizens to ride bicycles regularly in their daily lives, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and actively contribute to environmental protection. In his address, he stated:

​"The bicycle is a simple, affordable, and eco-friendly mode of transportation. It is not only beneficial for our physical fitness and health but also plays a crucial role in reducing pollution in the country, saving fuel, and promoting a sustainable lifestyle."

​Bicycle Rally and the 'Fit India' Pledge

​As part of the awareness campaign, a special bicycle rally was taken out by the youth in Barwani. During the rally, participants raised enthusiastic slogans and shared motivational messages to encourage local residents to use bicycles for their daily commuting.

​All 25 young athletes, youth club members, and volunteers present at the event actively participated in this activity. At the conclusion of the rally, the District Youth Officer administered the 'Fit India' pledge to all participants, where the youth vowed to make cycling an integral part of their daily routines.
