On 9th October 2025, Maniben Nanavati College organized a highly interactive and informative guest talk for adolescent girls from MA High School, aged between 13 to 15 years, focusing on Anemia and Nutrition. The session was led by Ms. Shama Chawan, Head of the Food and Nutrition Department. She explained in detail the causes of anemia, particularly focusing on how menstruation can lead to iron deficiency in young girls. Following the informative session, a Free Anemia Testing Camp was conducted by the GIANT Group. Their technicians used standardized equipment to test the hemoglobin levels of 75 students. The testing reports were generated immediately, indicating that 56 students out of 75 were anemic with low hemoglobin levels and were provided appropriate iron supplements on the spot and counseled on follow-up measures to overcome anemia.
