“International / National Ayurveda Day 2025” (India)
The Indian government has fixed Ayurveda Day to 23 September every year, via a Gazette Notification (March 2025), instead of observing it on Dhanteras, which changes date annually.
The date 23 September was chosen because it coincides with the autumnal equinox, symbolizing balance between day and night, aligning with Ayurvedic philosophy of harmony.
