2nd year and 3rd year Students enrolled for Undergraduate Course in colleges/institutions recognised by the UGC having secured 50% or more as aggregate marks in their previous academic year can become a part of this programme.

There is no restriction of Age/gender.

No. Students have to bear the cost of traveling from their residence to the business establishment.

No stipend will be given to the student.

The student may first register on the portal (yuva.gov.in) where options are available on the portal dashboard to select the business. The field of interest can be seen by clicking on the business opportunity.

Yes. AADHAR should be linked with mobile number for verification.

The Programme is for the undergraduate students only.

The experiential learning program would be available irrespective of any academic credit given by the college. However, colleges can give academic credits to the youth on the basis of available UGC norms.

The opportunities will be visible to the students based on the pin code of the location mentioned by him/ her while registering on the portal. An E-mail will also be sent to the youth if a business posts opportunities nearby to the location of the student.

The NSS programme officer/nodal officer of your college will be the verifier.

As of now the programme is specifically for UG students.

After completion of the training programme, the student will write a brief report and submit it to the college. He/ she will also submit feedback on the portal about his Experiential learning.

The profiles of students who have applied for the programme in response to the opportunities posted by the business will be visible to them. The business will select the students based on their preference.

No. this program has no application or course fees.

Yes, Students will be provided a certificate through the portal after their successful and satisfactory compilation of the Program.

No, fee involved in registration or applying for Experiential learning Programme.

  • Programme Officers have to verify the students of the concerned colleges and approve on YUVA portal
  • Will also check and approve application of students who have applied for an opportunity, on the Yuva Portal as per their eligibility.

  • Programme Officer of the college with NSS
  • Placement officer or any faculty nominated by the principal of the Non-NSS College will be the verifier.

Any designated NSS programme officer can become a verifier on Yuva Portal.

Programme officer will act as a link in connecting the students with the businesses and will be the concerned nodal officer for their students in Experiential learning Programme till the programme lasts.

Those businesses which wish to participate in the program would register on the YUVA portal as partner and then post the opportunities / available slots on the YUVA portal of the Department of Youth Affairs (yuva.gov.in).

The business will provide opportunity to the students who will apply for the same as per their area of interest. It will provide adequate opportunity to youth to learn functional roles and mark daily attendance of youth.

India SME Forum (ISF) is the knowledge partner for the programme.

Programme Officer of the college with NSS/and Placement officer of the Non-NSS College will be the verifier.

India SME Forum (ISF), which is the knowledge partner for the programme will verify the businesses.

There is no provision for providing the stipend to the students.

Basic training and infrastructure required for the programme is to be provided. No additional allowances are required to be paid.

The programme is for 45 days for 8 hours per day (360 hours). This duration can be staggered if businesses so desire.

Business may provide the opportunity in the field of their expertise. For one student, one or two areas of training may be identified.

Businesses should have an annual turnover upwards of INR 40 Lacs and either GST registration or Udyam registration is mandatory for being eligible to post opportunities.

The business has to identify a nodal officer in their organization by itself who will verify the students for the opportunity.

The business may select the students as per their needs and programme for which students are being considered.

The attendance of the students may be submitted through the Yuva portal.
