Under the “Mission AIDS Suraksha Abhiyan 2026”, an awareness program was organized by the NSS unit. The program began at 10:30 AM at Government Engineering College, Gangavathi. All the students actively participated in the program with discipline. On this occasion, health staff from the Government Hospital, Gangavathi, along with counselors Mr. Rajeev and Mr. Shivananda Nayak, participated as chief guests. They provided detailed information to the students about HIV/AIDS, including its causes, modes of transmission, preventive measures and available treatments. They advised students to stay informed based on scientific knowledge and not fall prey to fear or misconceptions.  The program was presided over by the college Principal, Prof. Channabasava, who addressed the gathering and stated that students should take positive messages from such awareness programs and actively participate in spreading awareness in society.
