International Women's Day

The International Women’s Day celebration at Bombay Teachers’ Training College was held on March 8, 2025, organized by the Women Development Cell to honor women’s achievements and promote gender equality. The event began with an introduction by Arnold Carroll, followed by an insightful presentation by Ehlam Khan and Shamshravrej Shaikh on the history and global impact of Women’s Day. Maitri Chheda highlighted women inventors and their contributions to science and technology. Ritu Maru’s poem “Shh, Tum Aurat Ho” powerfully portrayed women’s struggles and resilience. The Red Cross distributed sanitary pads to promote menstrual hygiene. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rumsha Merchant, emphasizing women’s empowerment, health, and equality.
