On 8th September 2025, District Hub for Empowerment of Women under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, South Garo Hills organized an exposure visit to the Adolescent Friendly Health Clinics functioning under RKSK of the National Health Mission. The programme aimed at enhancing the knowledge of adolescents regarding health services, counselling facilities, and preventive measures for overall well-being.

The programme began with an introduction by Smt. Rikganchi Marak District Mission Coordinator, DHEW.

Smt. Victoria kadimchi S. Marak, Adolescent Counsellor who spoke about the unique challenges faced by adolescents, including mental health, peer pressure and the importance of open communication with trained counsellors.

 Smt. Pringchinora M Sangma DSRC Counsellor delivered an informative session on HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs).

Menstrual hygiene practices were strengthened through the distribution of sanitary pads

A total of 38 participants attended the exposure visit.
